Nikon D5300 24.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera Black Friday Deals 2019
Let me just show you one of the many that are out there that may well be the bargain that you’re looking for this is an econ d50 300 with the kit lens it’s available for a decent nowadays as it’s been out a little while let’s check out what this camera offers that can help you step up your photography to get the lens on enough there’s a button on the side there and you’ll notice a white dot so you can just turn it release and you’re away and if you look at the side of the lens
you’ve got a white dots they’re white back there and that’s pretty standard you’ve got you autofocus a manual switch so you can flip between the two if you’re finding you having difficulty getting the focus perhaps in an area where there’s not a lot of lights you can just flick it and start rotating here and that will help you get a bit of a finer focus for the most part you’re probably being autofocus down here we’ve got a VR run off and you’ll see the logo at the top there that’s vibration reduction that’s excellent because that will help you hand hold the camera with this lens and get a shot in a lower light situation or just get a surer shot if you’re worried about having a shaky hand cameras like this gives you the great advantage of having a decent grip so you can still shoot away with gloves on if need be that might be important to you the grip is extra nice with your hand because you’ve got a nice textured feel to it there so generally if you’re shooting with the camera handheld and not on the tripod you’re gonna have maybe your hand just below and your finger on the trigger there and you can access the dials on the back there and the screen with no problem at all you’ve got a play button you’ve got a dial there that you can flick around and access your menu you’ve got a zoom zoom out Ben you’ve got a couple of buttons here information you’ve got a dial that’s easy to use and the menu button there this is a big feature that I appreciate about this camera and I think you will too and it’s the flip out screen shows you all the modes that you’re in and you can actually access them and adjust them on the fly but of course you might want to use a live view and you can flick it over now live view is not mega fast when it comes to the autofocus and they can’t still quite behind with that it can even go selfie style line it up and get the shot format memory card monitor brightness you can adjust a whole bunch of things in there obviously you can set the time etc language location video modes CMI remote control there’s a whole bunch of things let’s go up into the playback menu you can pause and see if any of that is of interest to you image quality for the purpose of this overview we’re just shooting in JPEG fine and if you just starting out I’m going to recommend that to you jpg fine but at some point with this camera you want to explore the Neph raw that’s where you getting the best file out of this camera the JPEGs are okay the JPEGs are fine no pun intended but with this camera you want to get playing with the roars and don’t be too afraid you can do it without too much hassle even your smartphones now some of them can handle RAW files so you know you can get some free software on your computer too to mess with that so you’ve got a lot of potential especially with the raw file but for the purpose of this because you’re not we’re looking at a complete beginner to dslr’s we’re just using the JPEG but you know if you’re feeling confident just jump into the roars and start playing in the software or maybe you’ll be better off using one of these the top one raw and JPEG fine so the final be your best JPEG might as well get the best out of it you know memory cards hard drives aren’t that expensive that’s all image size I always shoot at the largest possible but you might have some reason to shoot below for example if you’re running out of space on your memory card and then you’ve got a whole bunch of other settings which might take you beyond your current capabilities or if you’re already progressing you can get involved with those right in there I like to use your two white balance but you’ve got those options too very nice I think this screen is very well laid out the only thing is I wish it was touchscreen that would be beautiful but hey it’s a whole different I think you can pause it and just see how I’ve set it up but you know look down here ISO since Timothy in the old days the film was rated at an A essay for America or ISO international standards organization if I remembered rightly and it had a sensitivity that would affect your exposure to the film now it’s all digital the censors do a similar thing but you can set it to whatever you want so you can go from a hundred in this case all the way to 12 800 now you always want to shoot at the lowest possible setting now I like to shoot in Auto with the maximum in this camera at 12 800 you are gonna see a lot of ducks which a lot of the internet calls noise you might like it but you know 12800 will let you shoot in darker situations but get it as low as you can when you can minimum shutter speed you might be happier down at xxx especially with the VR on put it to something that you’re happy with once you get bigger heavier lenses longer lenses you might want a higher shutter speed because a lot more shake is getting involved and that will just help it calculate on the fly where you want it to go you’ve got these release modes which are of interest single frame so you press it and you’re just going to get one shot continuous low continuous high there are two different speeds of well continuous shot so let’s focus in on my hand right there and now you can hear it’s taking a whole bunch of shots that light there will flash away telling you that it’s recording and at some point it will stop it won’t be able to but for anymore to the memory card it will need to finish right into the card but you’ll get used to that so there’s a couple of things you might want to play with quite sure to release if you’re in a quiet area and you don’t want the shutter to make so much sound it’s not too bad on this camera but it’s not completely silent and you’ve got self timer down there and remote so very handy self timer for example if you’re shooting a group you want to be in it you can use that I do believe you can actually set that self timer in another section so it will fire off a bunch of frames movie settings down here now this is another big boldness about this camera is it’ll shoot Full HD at 50 frames per second you might want to stick around 24 frames per second for the most part no 4k Nikon still not pioneer in 4k particularly well Canon aren’t either but you know if you want to just get started you want some decent Full HD video while you’re on holiday for example then this camera has got you covered with that right there the autofocus isn’t amazing in the video let’s be honest set it too high microphone you can adjust wind noise reduction manual settings you know it’s all there and it’s easy to access you’ve got a whole bunch of custom settings which is a totally different video but let’s just say the camera is more than capable when it comes to what it offers another big advantage may be for you is your selfie mode you can flick it round and get yourself in the shot right there or a big group shot for example if that’s the kind of thing that you’re into I mean that’s extremely handy and makes it a bonus if you want to do some vlogging little vlog test now this is handheld well rested on the steering wheel really oh I forgot to set the sound so I might not include this clip and if you’re watching it I did why I love these screens so much is that you can flick them out and you can position it wherever you want so if you want to shoot something from high up but you still want to see the screen well you can flick it even right to that point and just look straight or put it or if you don’t want to get grubby lying around on the floor you know some of them pictures where people say look how pro this guy is it’s completely lying down on the floor taking a shot like that couple well that’s ridiculous because he’s going to be filthy when it goes into the reception of that wedding well just flick the screen hold it at whatever height you want but looking straight down and you’re away absolutely beautiful this camera is very easy to use even if you’re a beginner there’s a lot of potential for you the controls are really well laid out even if you’ve never used a DSLR in your life before the grip is nice they work well and the functions are easy to get used to get out shoot shoot shoot practice only use manual aperture priority or shutter priority another thing we can look at and just have a play but there’s a few more things that might make this a decent buy for you let’s take a look on the top of the camera you’ll notice a few things you’ll see here there’s a speaker left and right stereo microphone on this camera you’ve got the on/off switch at the top nice and easy you’ve got a record button right there you’ve got an exposure compensator and an info button right there all things that may seem completely foreign to you but don’t worry you’ve got your hotshoe which is where you external flash would go but of course this thing has flickered on a pop-up flash of its own I’m not a big fan of that but it might get you going get you out of a few sticky situations and if you use it well it can be useful you’ve got this style here which you’ll see has an MA SP manual aperture priority shutter priority program auto and a whole bunch of scenes and effects which I personally would say stay out of don’t even bother you’ll notice it’s got the logo for Wi-Fi there and GPS which is a big feature about this camera which might make it extra handy because you can connect it to your smartphone and transfer pictures so you can share them on social media straight away or just trigger it off using the smartphone and the side here you’ll find this door which is where your memory card will go so you’ll need an SD card usually best to get the fastest possible but not the fastest that’s out there now this camera is a little bit old and doesn’t need the very fastest but get something decent look up the chart and see what’s good you might even get one with it to get your started don’t worry too much just get something decent with a decent amount of memory you know 16 gig 32 gig 64 gig and class 10 don’t worry too much you’ll find a few more ports in here not so easy to open we gloves on but still possible you’ve got a mic input so you’ll possibly hear that I’m using a mic to make this video with my Canon you can do a similar thing external mic pushed straight in so this thing that’s a very nice feature especially for vloggers you’ve got few of the forts there a remote port HDMI port AV out USB you’ve got a few more buttons on the side as we mentioned before you can flick open the flash there you’ve got a function button there and you’ve got a bracketing down there maybe more foreign words but you know capable it’s going for around 450 500 now with these kit lens don’t spend too much on your first DSLR frankly the sensor 24 megapixels you’re gonna get images that you can print as big as you want or you can just use that Wi-Fi app send it to your smartphone share it on social media you’ve got enough capability in the kit lens to get your going especially with that VR on it that’ll keep you steady when you try and shoot the video is decent you can get some good 1080p 50 frames per second or 24 frames per second you can get some good video and you can even attach the mic to it and flip the screen around and use it vlog style although is not really one of the best in its market for that kind of thing in the battery lasts for ages it’s solid you’re gonna be able to throw it about when you’re on a holiday throw it in the back of the car if you a little bit careless if you’ve got kids you might even want to just put the strap on them let them hold it and then they can fire away without a problem at all the zoom on the lens is capable enough for what you’re expecting put your money into lenses that’s what I would say step up afterwards maybe to a seventeen to fifty two point eight fifty one point eight thirty five one point eight all great lenses and actually if you’ve got the budget to pick up this kit this body this lens and maybe one of those lenses that’s something well worth doing this has a lot of things that make it a great buy especially now it’s been out a little while and are dropped I hope that’s been of some use to you I hope it can help you in your journey into better photography DSLRs etc it’s all down to feel most of the cameras you’re looking out I’ll probably do you’re fine but you know what not a bad place to start this d50 300 from the akan I used to have addy 3100 which is the smaller range the 3400 I think is latest out there right now also fantastic I mean I had great fun with 3100 traveling around Columbia I think I went to Marrakesh with it went to Spain shot a whole bunch of stuff if you look on this channel actually there are sample images from the d-32 100 so you know if I was able to squeeze out great images with those things you imagine what you can do with a bit of practice with this camera and of course maybe with a faster lens.
